Reach Gili Trawangan from Bali with a fast boat is best oprion. You can chose departing from Padang Bai, Sanur, or Serangan. Most boats take 1.5 – 2.5 hours depending on the route and weather.

TRAVEL GUIDE
By Fast Boat Via Sanur / Padang Bai / Serangan
The easiest way to reach Gili Trawangan is by fast boat from Padang Bai or Serangan (Bali). Several companies operate daily departures, and the trip takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on weather and departure point. We recommend booking with trusted providers such as BlueWater Express or Gili Getaway.
🕒 Tip: Arrive at the harbor at least 30 minutes before departure for check-in.
By Plane to Lombok (Alternative Route)
Flying into Lombok International Airport is another option. From there, take a 90-minute taxi to Bangsal Harbor, followed by a 15-minute boat ride to Gili Trawangan.
Total travel time from the airport to Gili: around 2.5 to 3 hours.
This route is ideal if you’re coming from Jakarta or international airports with direct flights to Lombok.
From Gili Trawangan Harbor to Mata Villas
Once you arrive at Gili Trawangan harbor, Mata Villas is just a 10-minute walk along the beach path.
Prefer not to walk? You can also take a cidomo (local horse cart) for a more relaxed arrival.
